Israel Cycling Academy To Race On Factor Bikes In 2020

Factor Bikes will return to the UCI World Tour in 2020 after signing a partnership with Israel Cycling Academy, who will race under the new team name Israel Start-Up Nation. This is an exciting technical collaboration that will see Factor’s engineers work closely with the ICA team to drive forward new product developments and designs. Factor’s extensive experience in engineering, aerodynamics and composites will equip the team with the tools for success in the pro peleton.

Factor is also pleased to announce it will continue to sponsor and partner with UCI Women’s World Tour team Parkhotel Valkenburg in 2020 after a hugely successful 2019 season. The team will predominantly be riding the O2 VAM with Factor’s new chrome decals next season.

Israel Cycling Academy will ride Factor’s O2 VAM Disc and ONE Disc during the 2020 season, debuting at the Tour Down Under in January. A new ICA team paint scheme has been developed for the bikes along with refreshed Factor graphics for 2020. The O2 VAM, an ultralight bike designed for climbing, is a disc brake bike weighing in within the UCI limit at 6.8kg. It will feature a naked carbon finish with the blue and white design of the ICA on the seat tube.

The team will also be running Black Inc components, including the full range of wheels, seatposts, integrated barstems, computer mounts and bar tape. The bikes will also be equipped with Ceramic Speed bearings and oversized pulley wheel systems, Maxxis Tyres and Selle Italia saddles.

Rob Gitelis, Factor Bikes Owner said: “This is an exciting time for Factor as we make our return to the World Tour and we have a great team and partner in Israel Cycling Academy. We both share ambitions to compete on the world stage and do so with high performance bikes and equipment. ICA has been on an incredible journey and we are excited to be part of it. Factor is a global brand and the fact that the ICA has many nationalities represented within the team makes it a perfect fit.”

Sylvan Adams, Co-owner of ICA added:“Israel Cycling Academy is excited by our new partnership with Factor bikes. We will be riding their superior bikes to new heights in the World Tour next year. With the best equipment, we will reach for the top. Yalla, Factor, welcome to Israel Cycling Academy.”
