Factor Takes Over Girona

FACTOR HOUSE Girona

From April 27th to May 3rd, Girona once again becomes the global hub for endurance cycling as “FACTOR GIRONA WEEK 2026” brings together racers, community riders, and partners for a week of riding, storytelling, and connection.

This isn’t just about racing: it’s about celebrating the culture that makes Girona one of the world’s most iconic cycling destinations. At the heart of the week, the FACTOR HOUSE GIRONA will act as the touchpoint for all things Factor and cycling in the Catalan streets. Factor Bikes will take over key locations across the city and neighbouring towns to create a network of friendly, well-equipped meeting points for riders and supporters of the athletes competing at Traka.

Factor will be very present at four separate locations in and around the Girona region beginning on April 27th and lasting through May 3rd.

Race day focus

The week’s focal point zeros in on the celebrated, multi-day ultra-endurance Traka challenge. With multiple distance options, all of which push the riders to their absolute limit, Traka is a highlight on many Factor athletes’ calendars.

Among the FACTOR RACING members who will be taking part are Anuchi Gago, Rob Britton, Victor Bosoni, and Cynthia Carson in the 560 km distance. Cynthia and Victor have both found notable success this year by winning the Atlas Mountain Race, while Rob and Anuchi have both had strong starts to their seasons.

For the Traka 360, we’ll have Haley Smith, fresh off 2nd place at Cape Epic, Gustave Orain, Romain Bardet, currently leading the UCI Gravel World Series, and Petr Vakoč, who recently took 2nd place at The Hills in Italy.

Nicole Frain, who has already had several victories in the UCI Gravel World Series this season, will test herself in the 200 km distance, along with 2025 Gravel Earth Series champion Magnus Bak, Wendy Oosterwoud, and Jonas Lindberg.

Zack Morris will be our athlete tackling the super-fast 100 km option.

Though the 200 km distance is generally considered the main event, each distance has its own unique challenges and is hotly contested at the pointy end of the race.
