Factor Temple of Speed
A Journey Through Innovation and Excellence

Step into the Factor Temple of Speed in Kyoto, Japan, from April 10th to April 13th, and experience the relentless pursuit of speed, precision, and craftsmanship that defines Factor Bikes. Set against the backdrop of Kyoto's historic beauty and the breathtaking sakura (cherry blossom) season, the Temple of Speed is more than an event—it is an immersive experience that brings Factor's legacy of speed, precision, and craftsmanship to life.
For three days, the Temple of Speed will take visitors on a journey through what makes us different, the story behind who we are and how we make our bikes. In the future, the Temple of Speed is an experience we want to take around the world. Yet for now, it seems appropriate that this first event takes place in the heart of Kyoto, a city renowned for its thousands of temples and shrines. The Temple of Speed is an opportunity for us to share how we combine cutting edge engineering and craftsmanship to create the fastest bikes in the world.

Honoring Craftsmanship: Ohnishi Tsune Shoten & Rie Ohnishi
This special Kyoto edition of the Temple of Speed pays tribute to Ohnishi Tsune Shoten, a renowned folding fan maker that blends traditional techniques with modern innovation. Known for exquisite handcrafted kyo-sensu folding fans, the shop continues to introduce new and vibrant concepts with an equal level of innovation and artistry. At the heart of this legacy is Rie Ohnishi, the fourth-generation proprietor, who left a career in telecommunications to preserve and evolve the craft. A passionate advocate for Kyoto’s cultural heritage, she wears a kimono daily as a symbol of her commitment to tradition.
Appropriately, our Kyoto Temple of Speed will be housed in the Ohnishi Tsune Shoten historic 150-year-old machiya, a type of wooden townhouse commonly associated with traditional Japanese craftsmaking. The building has been the home of kyo-sensu artisans - traditional folding fans - for nearly 100 years. Visitors will be taken on journey through the evolution of Factor Bikes in a setting that exemplifies the spirit of master craftsmanship.
