FOR THE LOVE OF CYCLING CHALLENGE UPDATE

We’re now into the final third of December, which means that Rob Gitelis, John Ebsen and Phil Gaimon are on the finishing straight to completing the For the Love of Cycling Factor Strava Club December Challenge. The end goal? 3,100km.

So far they’re right on target, steadily ticking off an average of 100km a day, all while continuing to rock up at work to get their ‘real’ jobs done! Understandably a little on the tired side, but most importantly, all still smiling and far from lacking in motivation.

The trick to succeeding this far into the challenge? Routine. Both Rob and John have been up at 5am each day, out on the bike by sunrise at 6.15am, with 100km clocked after 3 – 3.5hours. They are then both in the office by 9.30-10am ready to start the day. Let’s just say, we hope they’ll both be catching up on some sleep in January…

The motivation behind the challenge? To refind their love for cycling after what has been a testing time for everyone and specifically, the cycling industry. But most importantly, to raise funds for the Chef Cycle For No Kid Hungry charity.

To embrace December as being a time for giving and as a greater motivation to ride all those kilometres, we are donating $1 USD for every 10km ridden by the top 100 members of the Factor Strava Club throughout December. If you’re not participating in the challenge, and you’d like to share your support, you can still help by donating directly.

*And in case you missed it, ALL of those who join the Factor Strava Club will be automatically entered into the draw to WIN a Factor frameset.
