Factor HANZŌ Miku Edition

To celebrate JCL Team UKYO rider, Yuma Koishi’s success as current Japanese time trial champion time trial champion, Factor has designed a very special HANZŌ time trial bike – using the imagery of the renowned Japanese virtual singer Hatsune Miku (Japanese: 初音ミク). We were inspired by the fact that the JCL Team UKYO has a tradition of featuring Miku on a special edition cycling kit every year, so we’ve mirrored those designs with this special edition colorway.

For a very limited time, you can add this unique frame to your collection. As a time trial bike that advances the definition of how aero can you get, the HANZŌ proves to be the perfect weapon to cut your race times and leave the competition behind.

A STIFF, RESPONSIVE RIDE

The HANZŌ is so much more than one of the world’s fastest time trial bikes. It’s incredibly stiff as well, capable of translating each pedal stroke into speed. At the back of the bike, the stiffness of the design takes center stage, while still focusing on being as aero as possible. The chain stays provide the required rigidity for optimum power transfer while the seat stays are as wide as UCI regulations allow in order to smooth the airflow between rear wheel and frame, as well as airflow off the rider’s calves.

SHARP LEADING EDGE

The front end of the frame defines the level of aerodynamic efficiency. Having a super thin front end, where the shape of the fork combines with the frame shape, creates a true airfoil to optimize the lowest possible drag by facilitating full laminar attachment at low yaw angles. This incredibly aero design with a single piece fork, external steerer, combined with the mono-riser also enhances the structural efficiency.
